RACEHORSE'S DEATH

SYDNEY, April 7. The hearing of the action in which Mr Wade, the owner of the racehorse Estland, is claiming £7000 from the Rosehill Racecourse Company on the grounds of alleged negligence has commenced.

The evidence stated that the horse was training on the Rnsehill course when he ' fell and broke his back through putting his foot in a rabbitburrow.

Mr Wade testified that he had paid £3675 for Estland <*n the strength of his previous performances and pros-. } sects. He valued the horse at the time of his death at £7000. * Mr Hyne, Mr Wade's trainer, said he considered Eistland capable of-win-ning, any race. His engagements included the Melbourne and Caulfield 'Oups.; .. ....
