GOLDEN WEDDING

FESTIVITIES AT HAVELOCK

The golden anniversary of the wedding of the Rev. A. H. Heron and Mrs Heron, of Havelock, was reached rm the Ist inst. After the service on that evening the parishiorfers. tlirough Mr W.* Pickering, presented the ixjv. gentleman and Mrs Heron with a well-filled. puree of sovereigns, wishing them long life and happiness. Mr Pickering referred in feeiing terras to the bond of unity existing, between them, not only as pastor and people, but as friends, regretting the vicar's near departure, but acknowledging that they felt iifc was for his betterment that the order of severance had; come.

On Monday an "at hlome" was held % at the vicarage. The guests began to arrive in the morning and during the afternoon;, when the dwelling was packed, and presented tho appearance of a haige hive c;f life, over 70 guests being present. A very pleasant time was spent by a! present.
