A conference of flour-millers met at Ohristohurch to-day to discuss arrangements regardng wheat, Horn-, bran, and pollard for next, year. The chairman, Mr Milligan, stated that the system of Government control and price-fixing would be'-'continued.' A motion was carried that, the meeting ■was stirongly of opinion that the Government should encourage the growing of sufficient wheat in. the IX>minion for the country's requirements, thus obviating the necessity far large importations.
