The following players have been selected to represent Havelock in tho tonnis inter-club competition round against Rapaura en the local courts next Saturday: Me&dames Thomas, Reade, L. Smith, Misses Congdon, O'Connor, and M. Oirsman; G. Buckman, E. H. Stmith, F. C. Oowper, G. Gill, E. Pothan, and J. Johnston. Tho fortnightly euchre parties in aid of the Soldiers' Memorial Fund air©;still proving very popular. All the tables provided were fdled last evening, and a very enjoyabJe couple of hours' play was spent. The first prizes were Avon by Miss O'Connor and; Mr N. Soppit, while Miss Elliott and Mr G. Buckman qualified for the "consolation."
The long spei of dry weather has somewhat affected -th© Jocal water supply, and the Town Board, owing to the demands of the electric lightt, 3ias deemed it necessary to out off all water power plants. A light rain is now falling, and hopes are entertained, of its continuing long enough to beneific- the water supply.
