DESPERATE FOOD SITUATION

The position of the Paderewski Government is critical, owing to the failure to remedy the food crisis, which is now becoming desperate. Paderewski announces his intention to court-martial profiteers. He pleads the difficulty of carrying on while waging an arduous campaign, dependent upoa the resources of the country, which _, is ruined. It is impossible to get credit while the frontiers of Poland remain undecided. ' * •
