CORRESPONDENCE.

[to thm editor.''

Sir,—Since arriving in Blenheim a few days ago I have paid several visits to the town gardens, and feel that I must express my appreciation of the glorious display of roses which is to be seen there. Both in the duality of individual blooms and in the variety of roses, as well as in their profusion and grouping, these roses would scarcely be eclipsed anywhere ; the setting of green lawns iind beautiful trees adds to the picture, and the whole reflects credit on all concerned in the creation of such a, beauty-spot. I am informed that the Beautifying Society, in conjunction with the Borough Council, has been the moving spirit in this and oilier work of the kind in Blenheim, and has been well supported by the public. The curator of the gardens iy also to be congratulated on tihe excellent result he has achieved. Such masses of flowers, and the scent of them in the hot sunshine, make the gardens a place to be sought after by visitors and residents alike. I am, fctC, WILL LAWSON.
