Thursday. A successful "gift" afternoon was held fy St. Peter's Ladies Guild at the Vicarage last week. The time was pleasantly spent in a social manner. Two interesting competitions were won by Mrs E. J. Roche and Mrs Roszkx respectively.
The fortnightly euchre parties still continue to oe popular, and there was a good average attendance at the library on Tuesday evening. The first prizes fell to Miss Elliott and Mr C. Wells, whis Miss Ball and Mr W. Orsman qualified for the "consolations."
The recent copious rains have replenished the local water supply, and it has not been found necessary to apply the restrictions decided upon by the Town Board on Saturday;
Major H. E. Bnrrowclou^h, * and Private Len Johnston, two returned soldiers, rmivecl in Havolock last evening, and were given a hearty reception.
