LONDON, June 17. •
The Board of Trade statistics oi war bonuses show that of 1,987,444 workers in January many secured a weekly increase of nearly 3s 6d per head, exclusive of overtime. SYDNEY, June 17. A public meeting formed a committee to organise collections on Australia Day (July 30th).
Tho Australia, Day movement, aims at raising £200,000 for wounded, soldiers and their dependents. Mr Holman suggested that the Belgian Committee should divert th© proceeds of their operations for tire month into the fund. He pointed out that the committees were raising about £2000 daily in New South Wales. The Belgian Committee at present has £200,000 in hand.
