LONDON, Jan. 24. The Union Jack is. being displayed at many British churches as a visible expression of the churches' insistence on the duty of Christians (to- respond to the country's call. Religious leaders are' using: all their influence and emphasising 'the dutyr of self-sacrifice for the welfare of the country. Young men everywhere' are urged to participate in the war. It is estimated, ithat 70 per cent, of" the British at:the front belong; to the Church of England/ 15 per cent, are Catholics, 7'per cent. Presbyterians, 4 per cent.' Wesleyane, and 2 per ,cent. each Baptist and Congregationalists.
