■* "BUCKS UP" AT PROSPECT OF
GOING TO FRONT.
LONDON, Jan. 24. The Hon. T. Mackenzie,-High Commissioner for New Zealand, who has just returned from Egypt, crossed France at a point within- sound of tho it'hunderous roar of guns behind Soissons. He declares that the Now Zealaiiders were bitterly disappointed when they first learned they wore- to stay'in Egypt. 'They were1 impatient to show their qualities on the fields of Europe, and they "bucked! up" when they learned they wore soon to ,be .sent to France. Mr Mackenzie" says the men of the contingent are in excellent fettle.
