Admiral Palander,. chairman of the Antarctio Committee and Society of -Antbhropology rand Geography, has 'outlined plans for an expedition oostiing 27,000 liXoner, starting ia the j summer of 1915. Six scientists, including two Englishmen, will jparticipate, and Jialf the cost will be jprovided by the Britisfc Museum, Retail Society, and Royal .Society. The scieniifio collectioii- will be ■divided between Sweden and England.

Special attention will be paid to the mountain range, and tHe possible connection of the mountain system with South America. •',.., ?,

Fossil formations, glacier process, and atmospheric variations^ will also be investigated. ,
