ST. PETERSBURG, June 18. •Eighty girls employed on a sugar feeet.plantation in the Piriatin district, Poltava, were burnt to death in ta© .shed in which they were sleeping. The inhabitants of the village became incensed at the importation jot girl labor. They fastened the exits, and set fire to the shed.
