ATTEMPT AT MURDER.
FIGHT BETWEEN MUNICIPAL
OFFICIALS
[Press Association.] (Received June 20, 10.10 a.m.) MELBOURNE, June 20. James Parker, engineer to the Footscray Municipal Council, has been arrested on a charge of attempting to murder James R. Knox, acting-town clerk of Footscray. Relations have been strained) for some time past. Knox was formerly assistant-engineer under Plarker. A stand-up fight occurred last week, and Knox was seriously shot in four places.
