MEMORIAL TO MR ASQUITH
PARISH CHURCH BURNT.
[Press Association.] (Received June 20. 0.55 a.m.) LONDON, June 19. The Social and Political Union has prepared a memorial to Mr Asquith, declaring that £100,000 worth of property has been destroyed since December, as a protest against the women's continued exclusion from citizen rights. . The parish church at Rowley Regis has been burnt down, and £6000 worth of damage done. Suffragettes are suspected.
