NON-COM. EXAMINATIONS

POSTPONED TILL SEPTEMBER

WELLINGTON, June 18. Military headquarters forward" the following concerning the examination of non-coms, in the Territorial forces and Senior Cadets for first appointments to commissions: — -Please note and inform all concerned that the above examination this year is postponed to the beginning of September. For the present in exceptional cases, non-coms, of the Territorial forces may be recommended as candidates up to the age of. 30. Schoolmasters of secondary schools may be recommended as candidates at any .age for commissions in Senior Cadet companies of their school. In the case, of schoolmasters papers A. and B. are dispensed with. Candidates for commissions in the Territorial forces^an elect to sit for commission in any arm, but must state, when applying to be allowed ,vto present themselves for exammationj to which arm they are desirous of being appointed on obtaining a commission.
