A well-attended .public meeting passed a resolution condemning the circular issued !by the Education T)epartment to educational authorities, suggesting the> withdrawal of free places and scholarship privileges from those riot complying with the Defence Act. .

Several other speakers supported; a motion which strongly condemned military training.
