PRINCE ALBERT'S CRUISE.

EXCITING COLLISION AT HALI-

FAX

LONDON, May 31. An exciting incident occurred at Halifax in connection with the visit of the H.M.S. Cumberland, on board of which Prince Albert is now making a long cruise. A pinnace belonging to the cruiser collided with a launch and was so badly damaged that it had to be beached.

The greatest consternation prevailed, as it was believed that Prince Albert was aboard the pinnace, but the officers soon discovered, much to their relief, that the King's son had not left the ship.
