CONCLUDING DAY.

SOCKBURN, Aug. 17. For the concluding day of the Canterbury Jockey Club s Grand! National meeting the weather was fine, and the course in good order. The. attendance was large. Results:— United Hunt Club Steeplechase: Morihiko 1, Laghmor 2, The Chief 3. Scratched: Guirteen and Larry Lynx. Half a mile from home Morihiko took charge, and won easily by six lengths. Time, smin 20sec. Heathcote Handicap: Sea King 1, Kilmeny 2, Ngatimaru 3. Scratched: Prosper, Magdala, and Serenity. After two furlongs Sea King took charge, and won comfortably by two lengths. Time, lmin 30 3-ssec.
