A scheme has been adopted by the Federal Parliamentary Committee for an historic memorial gallery. It provides that a start shall be made with. Sir Henry Parkes. Eighteen names have been 'placed on the list. They include Sir Edmund Barton, Sir O. C. Kingston, Mr Deakin, Mr J. C. Watson, Sir George Reid, Mr Fisher, Lord Dudley, Lord Denman, Lord Linlithgow, and Lprd Northcote. The artists will receive £250 for fullsize portraits, £150 for half or threequarter size, £120 for busts, and £150 for replicas of existing portraits.
