NOTHING ABOUT PANAMA
TOLLS.
(Received Aug. 17, 5.30 a.m.) NEW YORK, Aug. 16. Mr Woodrow Wilson, tho Democratic candidate, opened his Presidential campaign in New Jersey last night. Ho attacked the Republican tariff-making methods, and pointed out the benefit that would accrue to the American marine from the Panama Canal. He did not refer to the Canal tolls dispute—an omission whick is regarded as significant.
