r In the course of a letter to the secretary of the Auckland Waterside Workers' .Union regarding an invitation to a: representative of the Farmers' Union Trading Association to attend' a meeting; of'the- transmit branch of the New1: Zealand1 Federation of Labor at Wellinectbn on the 15th, with a view to arriving at an amicable settlement on the question of- handling obnoxious cargoes, the secretary of the Auckland brarich of th? .Farmers' Union says, iijter alia;: f:There is a difficulty in regard to the Conference proposed by you. ; inasmuch as it appears to be dominated by the Federation of Labor. It wf s further ; stated' v that , the Union desired to carry out and continue the understanding .arrived' at between the two bodies when they met to consider the question of handling manures.. ;' '
