(Evening Post, Saturday.) Owing to the heavy arrivals of green peas from Nelson, values for other lines of vegetables have' declined. All descriptions have been selling at low rates during the week. New potatoes, from Auckland, ' sold at lid to Ifd per lb; lobali'grown, 2d to 2£d. The market is .well supplied with old i>otatoes,- good lines selling from ss-.6d!t0.6s 6d per sack. Onions are ;in gbod # request; further supplies from America are due next week. French beans, from Sydney, sold at 4d to 4Jd per lb; locally grown realised s£d to 8&d per lb. Nelson green peas are in over-supply at 3s 6d to 5s per cental bag. Asparagus is" plentiful at 3d to 8d per bunch. Gooseberries from the Lower Hutt were sold yesterday at 4d to s£d per > lb. Local grown strawberries me.et with keen competition at 2s 6d per lb. Hothouse grapes are due next week; it is anticipated 2s 6d to 3s 'per lb will be obtained. Tomatoes from Nelson and local districts are

coming in freely; on Friday values i ranged from Is 2d to Is 4£d per lb.
