, A considerable quantity of, < cargo* has been passing over the wharf this week. The Clan Menzies while in port shipped 1195 bales of wool for London. The Breeze on Thursday picked up 3066 sacks of barley for Dunedin, and the Waime.a took 1500 sacks of chaff for the West Coast. The Regulus, while in port, dis-1 charged 120 tons of coal from Wesfc port. ■■' * Mr E. R. Lane reports plenty of work in the boat-building trade. A fine launch, 33ft by 7ft. 6in., was launched early in the Week for Mr Isaac Turner, French Pass. The engine fitted was an 8 horse-power Union*. On the stocks are two launches nearly completed—one for Messrs Baldick Bros. (37ft. by 7ft. 6in.) will be fitted with a 10 horsepower Monarch engine; the other, for Mr Vorberg, French Pass, is 30ft. by 7ft., and will have a 5 horse-power Standard engine installed.
