AN UNPLEASANT EPISODE.

AN ASSAULT ON MR KAIHAU

AUCKLAND, March 15. An irate Maori woman made a vigorous attack on Mr Henare Kaihau in Queen Street, uoing her fists. He caught her by the wrists, and she then threw herself down and employed her feet. Mr Kaihau then beat ia hasty retreat, and the woman followed him with a large hat pin, but'the appearance of a policeman put an end1 to the incident.
