The annual subscription tor members was fixed at not less than Is. The secretary was authorised to procure membership cards. The question of the recent fires that had taken place among the bush on the hill-sides off the Waikawa Road, was discussed; It was considered a most wrong thing that people should causo these fires. The hills are scorched and scarred, and in fact made hideous; and practically all to no purpose, as grass seed will never be sown on the burnt areas. It was decided, to draw the attentiin of the Commissioner of Crown Lands to this matter, as it was considered that the fires had spread on to Croyn lands, thereby making the originators liable.

The Society would be p;lad at any time- to receive any bulbs to plant on the Domam.

A vote of thanks to the chair concluded the ■ meeting.
