WELLINGTON WOOL AND SKIN SALE.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, report as follows:—The fortnightly sales were resumed to-day, and will be held regularly from now onwards. Buyers assembled in strong force, and competed well for the large catalogues offered. The wool catalogued was mostly of low quality, and was in good demand at prices about equal to last week's rates. There was a good, clearance of skins, hides, and tallow, at late rates. We quote:— . Wool: Crossbred, inferior and seedy, 6d to 6id per lb; crossbred, medium, 7*-d to 72d; pieces and bellies 3£d to 4£d; locks 3id; dead wool;; in bags, 6Jo. to 7d'; crutchings, 3£d to s|d; lambs', medium, 7|d to 7|d; lambs 1, seedy, 3d to 7d. Sheepskins: Crossbred, fine, 7d to 7fd; crossbred, medium, 6d to 6£d; crossbred,-.■coarse, s|d to s£d; crossbred, dead and hoggets, 4d tosd: broken and .faulty,. £d to 4d; pelts 3£d.to Id ': Hides: Ox, light, 6d to 6£d; cow and light ox, 6d to 6^d; faulty hides, 4^l to sd; calf, sound, 6£d to 7-Jd ; calf, damaged, 2d to 5Jd, yearlings, 6£d; cov.*tails, Is 5d per dozen. Tallow: In tins, 23s 6d to 26s per cwt. Wellington, March 10.
