The Rifle Cluba defeated the Territorials by the narrow margin of three points—lßß9 to 1886—after, some remarkably brilliant shooting. The scores ranged from 99 to 85. There were three Marlborough men in the Rifle Clubs' team, and their scores were as follows:—Masofield 99, Henderson 97, and Cuthbertson 96.
