Two scientific expeditions are passengers on the Otway, and am proceeding to Vavau to observe the eclipse of the sun on April 29th. One expedition is in charge of Father Cortie, Professor of Physics at Stonyhurst College, Lancashire, and accredited representative of the Royal Astronomical Society and Royal Society, and the other is under Dr Lockyer, first-assistant of solar physics at the Observatory, South Kensington, and. representative of the British Government.
