MISS MOORE OBTAINS JUDGMENT. - [I'RESS ASSOCIATION.] »■ , DUNEpitf,''March 9. In the S.M. Court 'this morning Mr Widdovvson, S.M., gave judgment in the case in which Miss Aileen Moore, tho successful competitor in the chief pianoforte contest at the recent musical competitions, sought to recover from the Competitions Society the sum of £5 ss. Plaintiff claimed that she complied with,.all the conditions of the Society, which, after she was adjudged the winner, refused to. pay her the prizemoney For the defence it was claimed' that she had failed to comply with a- clause in the general conditions, and under the power contained therein the committee forfeited the prize-money. . Judgment was given for plaintiff, with" costs. Leave to appeal was refused. -..;..
