ACCIDENT ASSOCIATION

HOKITIKA, March 6. At the meeting of the United Fire Brigade Accident Association the report showed the membership at 88 brigades, making a grand total membership of 1581, an increase of 62 since last year. The amount to credit of the accident fund is £1662 7s sd.

The election of officer-bearers resulted as follows: President, Capt. Hansen (Westport); vice-presidents, Superintendent Bellringer (New Plymouth), and Capt. Ralston (Inglewood) ; secretary,- Mr Watts (Newmarket); treasurer, Mr Scantlebury (Reef ton).
