TRESPASSING BOOKMAKERS.
[PREBB ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 4.. No. fewer than forty charges against bookmakers for trespassing on the Riccarton racecourse during the Grand National, meeting were dealt with at the Magistrate's Court to-day. All the persons charged pleaded guilty. Some were convicted and ordered to pay costs,, others were fined in varying amounts.
