WOOL, SKIN, HIDES AND xALLOW SALES.

Messrs Levin and, Co. report as follows:—We held our fortnightly sale to-day, when we offered a small quanItity of wool, 2250 sheepskins, 1300 hides and calfskins and a quantity of j tallow and horsehair. There was a good attendance of buyers. Wool: What little there Was, sold /at current rates. We quote: Crossbred 6£d to B£d, Lambs1 wool 6*d to Bd, pieces and bellies 4d to s£d, locks 2£d to 4id, dead wool 6§d to Bd, crutchings 4d to 6d. Skins: Dry skins continue on the down grade, and were quite a farthing down from last sales' prices, but green skins held their own fairly well. We quote: Fine crossbreds 7£d to 7|d, medium crossbreds 7d to 7£d, coarse [ crossbreds 6d to 7d, dead hoggets 5d to 6d, lambskins s£d to 6£d, quarter to half-wools 4£d to 6d, dry pelts 2|d :to 3£d, green skins 5s 2d to Bs, I spring lambs Is to Is 7d.

Tallow: Continues firm. Parcels in shipping order £30 10s. Tins £23 to £28 10s. Rough fat £15 to £20. Horsehair Is to Is 8d per lb. Horns 5s to 19s per hundred. Cowtails Is 8d per dozen. Hides: Ox hides were steady at last sale's rates, but cows and kips sold better than for some time past. Calfskins were firm at last sale's prices. We quote: Ox hides (heavy) 7d to 7|d, ox hides (medium) 6£d to 7d, ox hides (light) 6Jd to 6|d, cow hides 6d to 6?d, cut and slippy hides 3d to s£d, stag hides 4d to s*d, bull hides 4d to s£d, yearlings 5d to 6fd, calf (best) 9d to 93d, calf (medium) 7£d to B£d, calf (cut and slippy) 4£d to od.
