DUNEDIN, June 3. The weather is fine but dull, and there is a record attendance for the winter meeting. The course is good. Pacific Hurdles: Jack Ashore 1, Rifle Range 2, Whatakura 3. Scratched: Homeward, Shillelagh, and Royal Shell. A good race; won by a neck, third horse close up. Time, 3min 24 4-ssec. Brighton Handicap: Adage 1, Luperin 2, Cashier 3. All started. Won by two lengths after a punishing finish. Time, Imin 31 l-ssec. Birthday Handicap: St. Aidan 1, Paragon 2, Crbnstadt 3. Scratched: Speculate. Won by two lengths from Paragon, who lost several lengths at the start. Time, 2min 11 l-ssec.
