AT THE PORT OF WELLINGTON

WELLINGTON, June 3. The foreign shipping handled by the pilot and men of the Wellington wharves last month (May) constitutes a record for this port for any one month. It aggregated a net tonnage of 211,355 tons. To this must be added four steamers, aggregating 17,108 tons, which entered the harbor en route to other parts, and in anchorage shipped bunker coal only. The gross tonnage amounted to 228,463 tons. '
