PALMERSTON JR., June 2. In the Kendall ease Pawelka went into the box for the first time and denied that he was In the vicinity of fh* occurrence. The ijnry have now retired.
This afternoon Pawetka guilty to breaking and entering Perry's store, Longbura, on March 27*
The Crown has withdrawn the charge of arson in connection with the fire at Millar and Giorgi's premises, also the charge of theft from Slattern's premises. When the jury 'have giv«n their decision in the Kendall stioMng-'up case all the charges against Pawelka will have been disposed of. '
