WEEKLY MARKET REPORT.

[Special to Expbbbs.] WELLINGTON, April 1. The New Zealand Farmers' Cooperative- Distributing Company, Ltd., report as follows: — Apples still continue in heavy supply. Pears are coining forward in fair quantities, but realise good prices. Peaches are particularly wanted at high figures. Large Hutt grapes are in good demand at up to Is 3d per lb. Tomatoes are much less in quantity, with considerably better prices1. Vegetables continue to be in good demand, with the exception of , marrows and swedes. Large shipments of potatoes have come forward during the last few days, and the market is weak. Numerous blighted lines still coming to hand. Instead of the usual advance in poultry prices at Easter, the very large ?uantities coming forward weakened he market, and prices are still low. The position in regard to onions is unaltered from last week. Chaff is in short supply, and the market is exceedingly firm. We have this year largely extended our fruit trade, but still have the capacity for a greater increase, and we hope present suppliers who are satisfied with our efforts on their behalf will show appreciation by advocating neighbours to ship our way, to the benefit of themselves, the Company, and the general protection of the industry.
