Mr Corry knows nothing of my barley transaction in Nelson, nor is he likely to; but I may say that if all his sales turn out as satisfactory to him and his clients as this one has to my clients and myself, he will have nothing to lose his temper over. 2nd. I never offered an Auckland brewer 1910 prime barley at 4s 6d, but did hear of someone who was offering it at 4s. 3rd. If the scrupulous Mr Wiffen was too scrupulous to tell a lie over some selling transactions in Australia, it seems that a very handy man was not far off who had no such scruples. 4th. The crux of the whole thing is, what is barley worth to-day? Its true value, as pretty well everyone knows, is from us to 5s 3d, and in" my opinion will go higher. sth.
