TRENTHAM, March 11. ■ The shoot-off for the Ballinger Champion Belt, despite the inclement nature of weather, attracted a large number of spectators to Trentham. Fortunately there was no heavy rain during the actual firing, but several light showers fell, helping to make matters uncomfortable for the competitors. The Belt was won by Rifleman Halliday (Karori). Captain King (Christchurch) was runnerup, only one point away, and Capt. Ross and the brilliant Australian marksman, W. H.
