VARIOUS MATCHES.
In the Auckland Match (which was won by Pvt. Russell, Hutt, with 97), Rifleman H. Cutbbertson (Tua Marina) won £1, with 92, and Corp. Melhuish (Kaikoura) and Rifleman Wilkins (Tua Marina) £1, with 90. Rifleman Henderson ((Sounds) was counted out. Lieut. Mclntosh (Waitohi) secured a tyro prize of £1 with 89.
The Canterbury Match was won by Sergt. Brown (Bruce) -with 90. President Masefield (Sounds) and Rifleman ■Cooke (Blenheim) with/ 78, won £1 each, and Pvt. BTadfield (Blenheim) and Lieut.-Colonel Chaytor (Blenheim) £1, with 77 each. Tyro prizes were won as follows:—£1 by Rifleman A. Henderson (Soimds) and Rifleman Wilkins, (Tua Marina) with 74 each; and 10s" by Rifleman Jas. Law (Tua Marina,), with 71.
Extra Match No. 2 was won by Pvt J. Hadfield (Blenheim) with 34 out of 35 at 1000 yards. He takes £2. Lieut.-Colonel Chaytor, with 29, won 17s 6d, President Masefield won 15s with 28, and Pvt. Ward (Blenheim) 10s with 26.
