UNITED SERVICE MATCH.

This match, between Volunteers and Rifle Clubs, was won by the former, as indicated in yesterday's telegrams. The latest Wellington papers to hand show that at the 200 yards range Sergt. James (Napier) scored the possible, and President Masefield (Sounds) who was one of the selectors of the Bine Club team, made 34. At the completion of this range the Volunteers were leading by one point, the scores being: Volunteers 627, Rifle Clubs 626. At the finish of the 600 yards the 'Rifle Clubs were leading by 1134 to 1129. Three Marlborough men—W. N. Masefield, J. G. Wilson, and H. Cuthbertson —were members of t*he .Rifle Club team.
