A mass meeting held last night at the Town Hall and addressed by; members of the Opposition passed a resolution against Parliament adjourning to, allow Sir.. Joseph Ward to go Home. Oil the suggestion of Mr Aitken, ex-M.P., several thoiisands afterwards marched to Parliament Buildings to protest, but word was sent • that the gates had been barred and a strong force of police sent for; There was no rowdyism, and fchev crowd separated after short speeches had been made by Messrs Fisher,-.
