ALSO A BOARCING-HJUSE. |PRRBS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH, June 14. The Cafe Continental, a large threestoreyed private hotel on the beach at Sunnier, was burned yesterday morning. The fire broke out in the top storey, which was practically unoccupied, and as the premises were heated by radiators and there were no fires except in the kitchen and boiler-house the cause is a mystery. Ine brigade could no nothing, and only the walls are left. Two buildings close by were damaged slightly. There were five guests and seven other people in the place, who mostly lost everything. The cafe was owned by a company, and cost £8000 three years ago. It was insured for £5000, and the loss is as much again. A boarding-house in Tuam Street, occupied by S. Smith, was burned on Saturday night. It was insured for £500.

HAMILTON, June 14. A fire broke out in a milliner's .shop occupied by Mrs Laws last night. Much damage was done. The insurance is £650.
