GREAT RECEPTION' IN BRITISH COLUMBIA.
[press association.] (Received May 17, 11.50 p.m.) ! VICTORIA, May 17. A smoking concert at Victoria (British Columbia) at which the crews of the Japanese training cruisers Aho and Soya were was marked by intense enthusiasm. The inhabitants afterwards joined the British and Japanese bluejackets and Canadian regulars and militia in marching, and singing "Rule Britannia" and "Auld Lang Syne."
