COALMINERS' WAGES.
MEN REFUSE TO ACCEPT A REDUCTION.
[press association.] (Received May 11, 11.20 p.m.) LONDON, May 11. The Scots Miners' Federation refused to accept a reduction of 12£ per, cent, in their wages. I The coalmasters' and men's delegates afterwards discussed the question, but failed to agree, and adjourned till the 22nd. Eight thousand men are affected. The South Wales coalmasters proposed a reduction of 7J per cent. The men declined to accept this, and referred it to. Viscount St. Aldwyn y chairman of the Conciliation Board.
