Titko, a Russian terrorist, locked CJolonel yon- Kotten, chief of the Moscow police, in a room in a Paris hotel, ;and emptied his revolver in Kotten's -face.
Vitko was arrested. He states that Kotten offered him a position in the secret police as an alternative to Siberia. He became a spy after eighteen months in Siberia. Finally he arranged a sham plot to secure his revenge on Kotten.
