LABOUR PARTY'S VICTORIES

THE OPPOSITION ANNIHILATED

[press association.] (Received May 3, 10.15 a.m.) HOBART, May 3. On the first counts /Ehe Labour Party claim-eleven certainties. They are hopeful of also gaining the seat of Mr Urquhart, the Treasurer. The old Opposition has been practically annihilated. Labour will form the Opposition in the new House. Probably some sort of reconstruction will be proposed in order to knit the other parties together to present a solid front to the Laborites.
