FOOTBALL.

WELLINGTON, March 3
Some comment was made recently ©n a reported interview witb_ Mr Harnett, manager of the English .football team, which represented him as saying that his men would not care about playing in New Zealand again. In a letter to a member of the New Zealand- Rugby Union, Mr Jtfarnett says that a wrong construction was placed on his words. What he did say was that in spite of the hard work on the field most of the members of his side would be glad to renew their football friendships on and off Colonial grounds. He has taken the opportunity to get the Mornj.ng Post, in which the interview appeared, to publish a correction.
