The Blenheim onlyi made (six trips, owing to the constant shifting of the channel and the phal^ low water. The channel had shifted five times during' the month. It was" now fairly' good. There was sevenl .feet of water at Spring tides, and as long as the sea kept ismooth it *w>uM be all right. It was found that the work suggest- , ed by the Pilot and Mr Priddle at the bar had not been done, and Messrs Brown, Prdddle and Patchett were requested to send down the timber, required, and to get the work done afc once. ■ COAL WHARFAGE. The G'reymouth Harbour fioardl asked the assistance of the Wairau Board with regard to the refusal ©fi the Government to pay wharfage onl coal shipped at Greymouth from thei Goyernment mines. A motion of sympathy with tj*ef Greymouth Board, and a promise to ' give every.: assistance possible,, w&a carried. DREDGE. ' Mr Mcßae, Wellington, offered a suctibn dredge to'the'Board at' a cost' of £4000. It was decided to thank the wTit«frt and keep his letter for if a* dredge would be required later on. CAPT. ECKFORD'S OFFER. ' A special meeting was fixed for! Saturday, at 11 a.m., to go into'the matter of Capt. Eckford's offer, - and! consider what could be done. GENERAL. It was decided to alter the meetings of the Board to the first Tuesday mi each month at 3 p.m.. ; Mr J&". Allan, was granited leave of absence for six months. Accounts amounting to £19 154 were passed for payment.
