DISFRANCHISED.

VOTERS WHO CANNOT VOTE

[PKESS ASSOCIATION.] AUCKLAND, Sept. 11. Residents on Little Barrier Island, used as a sanctuary for birds, find that they cannot vote unless they are allowed to do so by post, which is- not provided for. They do not come under the provisions concerning absent voters, and no polling-booth can be granted for less than fifteen voters, nor can they rank as seamen. There are some eight votes, quite enough to turn the election, seeing that Mr Bollard was elected by only one vote last time.
