THE DAIRYING INDUSTRY.
PROSPECTS IN TARANAKI
[PKESS ASSOCIATION.]
HAWERA, Sept. 9. Most of the dairy factories in the district have now held their annual meetings, and the balance-sheets record a very prosperous season, despite the falling-off in the milk supply owing to the drought, which was compensated for by high prices. Nearly all the factories are making extensions and improvements %o deal with the expected bigger supplies. Prices on offer for the current year's output exceed last year's, and if accepted assure good profits; but it is probable that the big majority of the factories will consign. ■- ~ ,
